Agent-based Renewables model for Indonesia Sustainable Energy (ARISE)
The Industrial Ecology and Circular Economy Research group of the University of Queensland develops ARISE (Agent-based Renewables model for Indonesia Sustainable Energy). ARISE is a hybrid analytical tool to assess effectiveness and efficiency of clean energy policies in Indonesia.
The first version of ARISE has ability analyse solar energy policy for on-grid and off-grid applications. Compared to other energy models, ARISE offers more comprehensive analysis by integrating the perspectives of energy systems, micro socio-economic, macroeconomic, and environment.
ARISE could be freely downloaded from here or OpenABM. Running the ARISE requires NetLogo 5.3.1, developed by the Northwestern's Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling (CCL).
