RHD Students from UQ/Research Group for Industrial Ecology and Circular Economy Participates in LCM
As the main theme “Designing sustainable technologies, products and policies: from science to innovation”, the 8th International Conference on Life Cycle Management, which took place on 3rd – 6th September 2017 in Luxembourg City (Luxembourg), is a big success for those doing research in circular economy, industrial ecology, bioeconomy and environmental life cycle management. Three RHD students from the Industrial Ecology and Circular Economy Research group at UQ presented their selected works in parallel sessions: Milton Uba’s work is involved with future scenarios of ethanol demand in Brazil and their land-use implications; Murilo Pagotto presented his project on sustainability in the Australia food industry; and Tianchu Lu presented life-cycle approaches to assess the interrelationships among sustainability, food systems and diets. They said, “it was a great opportunity to share their works and follow the latest advances presented by experts in the industrial ecology and circular economy”
